Refunds and cancellation

1. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time through Conspecto’s billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops automatic renewal. Your paid plan normally remains available until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for the next one. Deleting the app or stopping use does not by itself cancel a subscription.

If self-service cancellation is unavailable, email support@conspecto.org from the address on your account. Cancelling a renewal is separate from withdrawing from a recent purchase under section 3.

2. Our refund policy

  • Duplicate or incorrect charge: tell us promptly and we will investigate and correct it.
  • Failed AI action: if an action fails and does not deliver usable output, the books charged for it should be automatically re-credited. Contact us if that does not happen.
  • Subscription after 14 days: payments are generally not refunded merely because you did not use the plan, but we will consider a fair refund where there was a prolonged service failure or another exceptional circumstance.
  • Top-up books: we refund an unused top-up requested within 14 days of purchase. If part of the top-up has been used, we may refund the unused portion where it can be identified reliably. We do not refund books already spent on a successfully delivered AI action, except where mandatory law requires it.

These commercial rules add to, and never replace, statutory withdrawal rights and remedies for digital services that are faulty or not as described.

3. EU/EEA 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have 14 days from the day the online contract is concluded to withdraw without giving a reason. To do so, send a clear statement to Egor Mitin, Bastiengasse 4, 1180 Wien, Österreich, or email support@conspecto.org before the period ends. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.

When withdrawal is valid, we refund the relevant payment using the original payment method, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the notice. We may stop access to the withdrawn paid service and reverse the related unused books.

4. Starting digital services immediately

Conspecto normally becomes available immediately. For a paid digital service begun during the 14-day period, the law may allow a proportionate charge for service already supplied if you expressly asked us to begin early and the other legal conditions were met. The withdrawal right for a service expires early only after the service has been fully performed and only where the legally required prior request, consent, acknowledgement, and confirmation were provided.

For digital content supplied without a physical medium, the right can be lost once supply begins only if, before delivery, you expressly consented to immediate supply, acknowledged that this would end the withdrawal right, and received the required contract confirmation. We will not treat ordinary use, a link to general terms, silence, or a pre-ticked box as that separate consent.

Because top-up books may be treated as digital content or part of a digital service depending on the purchase flow, our baseline policy is to honour withdrawal for unused top-up books. Any different treatment of books already used applies only where the checkout collected the legally required separate consent and mandatory law allows it.

5. Model withdrawal form

Copy, complete, and send this only if you wish to withdraw from a contract:

6. How to ask for help

Include the account email, purchase date, and enough detail to identify the charge. Do not send full card details. We may ask for limited verification to protect the account. For the rules governing plans and books, see the Terms of service.
